Anniversary Clock by Seth Thomas

This anniversary clock by Seth Thomas is called the Cordova and will enhance any room. The clock has a metal, gold-toned base and a Roman dial crowned with three regal points. The quartz movement is made in Germany. The clock is 9" in height and 6" wide. Operation requires 1 AA battery (not included).

Seth Thomas Facts

Seth Thomas was born in 1785 in a town called Wolcott, CT. He began his career in the clock business when he was 22 years old when he started working for Eli Terry in 1807. In 1810 Seth Thomas purchased the business from Eli Terry only to sell it in 1817 so he could start a business that made metal-movement clocks in Plymouth Hollow, CT. The first metal-movement clocks bearing the Seth Thomas name were sold in 1813. Seth Thomas died in 1859 and 16 years later the town of Plymouth Hollow was renamed to Thomaston in his honor.
